Gulf Shores Travel Diary- Part 2!

Hi friends! I’m so sorry for the delay on this post, I started my first job basically as soon as we got home from vacation, so I’ve had to do a lot of adjusting and figuring out my routines. Also, let me know if you would like to see some kind of blog post about my new job! A week in my life, work outfits, my experience so far…

Back to this post, this is of course the second and final post from my Gulf Shores get away. As I said before, his trip was much needed and greatly appreciated!

Day 3- May 29

On day 3, our family had finally arrived and we got to spend the day with them. We started the day at their condo, with some breakfast, coloring, and even some watermelon!

I mean, how precious are my little cousins?

After some relaxing on the sunny beach, we headed to the Gulf Restaurant, which may be my new favorite place! The Gulf is an open-air restaurant and bar, and is entirely made out of old shipping containers. There are picnic tables with umbrellas as well as bright white couches amid patches of grass and sand. The atmosphere is complete with a gorgeous view of Orange Beach!

Their shrimp taco bowl was entirely life changing, and I plan to recreate their cantaloupe salsa!

After hanging out the Gulf and perusing their adorable, surf-themed gift shop (I wanted to buy everything!), mom and I decided we wanted to hit up Our Coffee. Our Coffee is a local coffee and wellness bar owned and run by Brooke Davis and her husband. I’ve been following Brooke’s Instagram for a few years now (you should totally check out her feed, its so pretty and beachy) and I’ve been dying to check out Our Coffee ever since it opened about a year ago.

Let me just start off by saying this place is the cutest!! It’s in the same building as a surf shop and skate park, which is awesome entertainment while you enjoy a smoothie bowl or some coffee. The coffee shop itself is full of swings, plants, and beautiful ocean photography. It made my heart so happy!

I ordered the avocado banana Lassi bowl, and it was sooooo yummy. The blueberries and fresh coconut shavings on top were the best part!

After a few hours of rest at the condo, it was time for the sunset cruise to close out our trip. This cruise was probably my favorite part off the trip as a whole! We departed from The Wharf Marina in Orange Beach, and sailed into Wolf Bay to watch the sunset.

The view was amazing, the staff was awesome, and the pina coladas weren’t bad either!

I am so thankful to have spent this time with family in such a beautiful place. Thank you all so much for reading and stay tuned for lots of new content!

Stay sweet, Sophia ❤
