Happy Easter everyone! Feeling super blessed today, and hope you all are too! I wanted to make this week’s post just a little homage to my favorite Easter traditions and activities and hope to find out some of your favorites as well.
I started my Easter Sunday with service at our beautiful church with my family. (Well, I really started it with a Ferraro Rocher chocolate bunny, but that’s beside the point.) As always, the sermon was beautiful and everyone was feelin’ the love! My church has a wonderful tradition of covering our old wooden cross in all these colorful flowers that the members bring in, and I look forward to it every year! Our church’s history is over 200 hundred years old, and the cross is actually made from wood from the oldest parts of the church, which is super cool!
Doesn’t it make you happy just looking at it? I may be biased, but I think my church is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen!
After church, my grandparents came over for lunch, and we had the delicious homemade Mexican food that they make every Sunday. My mom also made the most precious cake for the occasion to fuel us for the upcoming egg hunt😉
My awesome grandma always fills and hides Easter eggs for my siblings and I, and we always have such a great time hunting them.
Another great thing about this Sunday was the beautiful weather! My mama and I were able to start cleaning out our big ol’ garden, and I even found some little baby asparagus growing!
To end this epic Easter Sunday, my family gathered around the dining room table and dyed eggs. This is usually my favorite tradition, and we always have lots of fun with it. My mom and I even tried out some fun little designs this year, including a cactus, a pineapple, and a carrot!
Once again, I hope you guys had a happy Easter! Thank you for reading this short little post on some little traditions I’ve come to love, and I’d love to hear some of yours!
Stay sweet, Sophia ❤
